What is AutoFerret.com?

AutoFerret is a fast-growing internet technology company, based in Bellingham Washington. Our office has floor to ceiling glass looking out over beautiful Bellingham Bay and the San Juan Islands. Our team is made up of a close-knit group of creative individuals working in a collaborative, supportive environment. We strive to maintain a highly successful and satisfied customer base by being agile, hyper-responsive, and creative in all aspects of our business. Our Philosophy is to move quickly and decisively in response to customer feedback.

We develop bleeding-edge web technologies, including inventory syndication tools, Facebook Apps and the famous AVA (the Automated Virtual Assistant). There are currently over 3000 automobile dealers across the United States, Canada, the UK, and Australia using one or more of our technologies. We are constantly improving our existing technologies and inventing new ones.

I enjoy spending time with my family, fishing, crabbing, rock climbing, snowboarding and generally enjoying the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. I earned my Masters in Marine Affairs and Bachelors degrees in Informatics and Forest Resources from the University of Washington in Seattle. Autoferret started with some code I wrote while working on my Masters Thesis and it has grown into an awesome company that I am proud to be a part of. My favorite part of my job has to be developing cool new technology that solves problems for businesses.

It's my continuing goal to push technology past its known limits, and to facilitate the success of our clients and colleagues through our innovation.

In 2007, I left my hometown, Taiwan, one of the most beautiful islands in the world, to pursue my Master in Information Management at the University of Washington. For me, working with the team is not just a job; its a true passion, because we believe that our brilliant technology help people live smarter!

Software Developer, UI Specialist

Born in Bremerton Washington, I am currently studying at Western Washington University where I am working on my BS in computer science. I love working with interfaces and making the user experience enjoyable! I never thought I would be working in such a great environment! In my free time I enjoy programming, skateboarding, art, skimboarding, parkour, trampolines and snowboarding.

Software Engineer and Web Designer

My free time is spent in the great outdoors on dry days and playing video games on the wetter ones. I love to camp, climb, snowboard, ski and bike. My degree is in Cellular Biology with a Chemistry minor. Work is most exciting for me when useful parallels can be drawn between the spheres of nature and electronics.

Programmer

Originally from Indiana, I am interested in gaming of all kinds, languages (both natural and programming), thunderstorms and fuzzy animals. I have been in the area since 2009 and a part of the company since November 2010. I have my Masters Degree in Computer Science with a focus on Artificial Intelligence and my Bachelors is in General Computer Science and Mathematics. The best things about working for this company are the friendly, easy-going work environment and the interesting projects.

Programmer

I enjoy the challenge of understanding systems and learning to operate them. This job gives me a fantastic opportunity to do just that. Picking apart AVA and learning its processes has been a great mental exercise. Our assignment, as AVA developers, has been to improve every aspect of it, without any customers noticing a decrease in performance. Watching AVA become more flexible, capable and intelligent is very satisfying. I am eager to see new industries come onboard with AVA and for them to realize its power.

Software Developer and Consultant

I enjoy water sports, martial arts, and reading articles on the physical sciences. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Western Washington University. What I love most about this job is the speed at which we move into new technologies that nobody in the industry has ever used. We never stop moving forward, but always keep track of what we have done in the past so that we learn from each new experience.

Office Manager

I enjoy going to the beach, hiking, shopping and most of all spending time with my friends and family! I have my Associate of Arts degree from Highline Community college, and have been working in customer service and electronics for the past few years. I am very happy to be a part of this company. The fast paced environment and the "what can we do to improve this" outlook makes this a very fun and exciting place to work. I take care of administrative and clerical work as well as manage our wireless account. :)

Network Technician

I'm a graduate from the Computer Networking program at Bellingham Technical College, and the newest addition to the Network Management Team. I enjoy the atmosphere and group-vibe of the company, and hold the title of 'Tallest Employee Ever'.

Web Developer

Born and raised in Everett, WA. I am pursuing my BS in Computer Science at Western Washington University. In my free time I enjoy snowboarding, hiking, biking, and programming. I have nothing but good things to say about working for AutoFerret.com; the people here are great and the company itself is ingenuitive and exciting to be a part of.

Network Admin

Computers have always been a lifelong passion of mine, and I love the fact that this job allows me to always grow and expand on my knowledge of them. I love any activity that allows me to keep my mind sharp, from solving logic puzzles, to reading, to studying about early american history, my interests are many but it all serves the purpose of allowing me to learn and adapt to any situation that comes my way.

Office Assistant

I'm currently studying Psychology and Communications at Whatcom Community College. I have had a life long passion for technology and electronic gaming so having the opportunity to work in such a technology rich environment is fantastic. Our office has one of the best team focused environments that I've ever worked in and that team orientation shines through in the great work that we do. In my spare time I make custom jewelry, play Halo Reach, am an active LARPer, and Egyptian Cabaret belly dancer.

I'm an outdoorsy kind of guy that is very passionate about developing new and exciting technology. While I'm not outside running or snowboarding I am inside developing bleeding edge applications. The want to learn more about my field is relentless and I enjoy every moment of it.

I came to Bellingham from Olympia, Washington where I am now working on getting my BS in Computer Science and a minor in Physics. My passion lies in understanding how the world around me works. I have been a gamer all my life and enjoy all kinds of games. I love the environment here at autoferret, everyone is super friendly and helpful.

I'm an electrical engineering student at Western Washington University. In my free time I like to skateboard, snowboard, and ride my bike. I like the relaxed yet productive atmosphere AutoFerret offers it's employees. I feel like this is a good place to develop skills and work with a successful team.
